How to Add and Edit Tax Profiles


Tax profiles are helpful for products and services that require taxation, as defined by state law or federal law. If your business offers products or services to multiple states, you may need to set up different tax profiles for each state. In addition, you may wish to create a tax profile for non-profit and tax exempt organizations who seek out your event rental services.

The taxes you enter in your tax management screen will be available when adding items to invoices. You will be able to select any tax profile already in your account.  You can also decide to make items non-taxable.

To add a tax profile, click Set Up from the main navigation and select then Tax Profiles.

Once the Tax Profiles page loads, click the +Add button to add a new profile.

The New Tax Profile will load and you will be able to enter in information such as the profile name, tax percent (do not include the percent sign), and a description. You can also choose whether the tax profile is active or not - only active tax profiles may be added to invoices.

When you are finished, be sure to Save your newly entered tax profile.

How to Edit Tax Profiles

To edit a tax profile, simply click the name of the tax profile you want to modify. Make sure you click the Save button once you are finished making changes.
